Configuring Subscription Statuses


This section will help you understand how to configure Customer Subscriptions status. Subscription status will give you information about the payment status for the account. Also, you can categorise your subscriptions based on their status.

This article is for admins responsible for setting up CustomerSuccessBox.

Why do we have to track & manage Subscription status?

 It is necessary to align with the Subscription status that you maintain in your subscription software, so it will be easy while fetching the data from integration or via Import.

Configuring and managing the Customer Subscription status

CustomerSuccessBox allows you to define Subscription Statuses for your customers' subscriptions. It helps in customer categorisation and timely review.

For Subscription Stage Types are:

  1. Active: Defines an active subscription that is currently in use by the account.

  2. Canceled: A subscription status is Canceled when the customer has canceled the subscription.

  3. Future: A subscription that is not currently active but will become operational in the future. Trial accounts are future subscriptions.

  4. Suspended: A subscription that has been temporarily paused but plans to activate in the future.

You need to follow the below steps to create and manage the Customer Subscription Status.

  • Click on the Gear icon present on the top right bar of the CustomerSuccessBox dashboard. Then click on the Customer Subscription Status option.

  • Once you are on the page, click on Add Status button to create a new subscription status.

  • You will have to provide the below details,

    • Status name: It is the name of the sub-status.

    • Status type: Here, you will select the status to which it belongs to. For example, canceled in Q3 is a sub-status for the Canceled status.

    • Description

  • Click on the Save button to finish.

  • To edit any existing Subscription status, click on   icon.

Viewing the Subscription status on Accounts 360 page and Subscription page

To view the Subscription status for each account, go to the individual account page. 

  • Click on the Subscription tab to view the status of the subscription. In addition, you can click on the particular subscription to view more details.

You can also view the Subscription status on the Subscription page. 

Note: CSMs can update the Subscriptions for their own portfolios.

  1.  Initiate a chat directly from within your CustomerSuccessBox. Use the Chat option from the Chat icon in the left-side navigation bar.

  2. Create a conversation from here.

  3. Send an email to the Support team.
