Prerequisites

This article lists out the prerequisites for integrating Salesforce with CustomerSuccessBox 

Salesforce Edition requirements

Salesforce provides API access on the following editions:

  1. Enterprise Edition
  2. Unlimited Edition
  3. Developer Edition
  4. Performance Edition

We can integrate as long as your Salesforce Edition matches one of the above.

Creating Accounts in CustomerSuccessBox from Salesforce

Your Customer Success Manager will discuss the different options available to you for bringing in data from Salesforce during the kick-off call.

Finalize Account and User Identifiers

CustomerSuccessBox requires a unique identifier for Account and User records that should be immutable. The source of truth for the identifiers can be your tenant/instance, Salesforce or any third-party system.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
Data from Salesforce syncs to CSB once every 24 hours at 12am GMT.
There may be up to a 24-hour delay before the data from Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities objects in Salesforce are are reflected back in CustomerSuccessBox

Finalize Mapping Details

Once you have finalized the source of truth for unique Account and User identifiers, share the 

  1. field_name(s) where the unique identifier will be available on Salesforce Account and Salesforce Contact record. 
  2. List of fields that you are looking to sync from Salesforce with your Customer Success Manager or in the Onboarding sheet

Finalize mapping details

You will simply need to tell us which field on Salesforce Account object is the unique identifier for an Account in CustomerSuccessBox. The app will take care of the rest.
